About Us

Seriously Fun, Never Too Bold.

Our business is driven by our desire to offer apparel that is both fun to wear and functional.

When you spend up to three hours a day wearing spandex tights, you get tired of rotating from black to gray to navy and back to black again. That’s why, after combing through hundreds of store racks, we decided it was time to start our own venture.

We’re both mothers, running coaches and marathoners, so not only do we have active lives, but we also interact daily with athletes of different ages and get to hear their input as to what they look for in quality athletic apparel. Our products reflect this input.  We’ve worked hard to select high-quality fabrics and customize a fit that works for you.

All of our printed spandex material is environmentally-friendly, as the only waste product may be recycled. The process used is the sustainable alternative to traditional print, steam, and wash processes.  This eliminates all of the toxic chemical processes associated with conventional screen printing operations, thus resulting in cleaner water and less energy use. Our spandex contains no formaldehyde, halogenated flame retardants, vinyl plasticizers, or any other toxic chemicals, such as heavy metals, carcinogens, or volatile organic compounds.

Our waist-bands rest just below the navel. Both men’s and women’s apparel contain a key pocket just large enough to hold a standard key fob.  And if you’re tired of sweating in your winter hat, check out our headbands and skull caps that are just enough to let off some steam while keeping you warm.

We are not operating a sweatshop. We are a small local Maine business. Each piece you order from Spandits!® is made with care from start to finish by us, and then inspected by us, the owners, before we ship it to you.

If you don’t see what you’re looking for, contact us!  We’re real people and we will respond.  We are passionate about our products and dedicated to making sure that our customers are fully satisfied.
